FITTWAVE Fitness in Colorado Springs: Why Community Training Hits Different
Colorado Springs, Colorado – Coach Austin, M.S., ACSM-CEP here! This past Sunday in Colorado Springs, something simple but powerful happened. We are changing the game of fitness and preventing the Sunday Scaries. How? By connecting others with one mission and it is community based fitness.
No mirrors.
No machines.
No intimidation.
Just people showing up for themselves — together.
This past Sunday we hosted a 45-minute bodyweight workout bootcamp in downtown Colorado Springs. It was hosted at COATI and we designed it to do more than burn calories. The goal was connection first, fitness second. And that order matters more than most people realize.

More Than a Workout — It Was a Meet-Up With Purpose
Group fitness gets tossed around as a buzzword, but what happened Sunday felt different.
Many of our clients get great workouts, we coach individuals online, but this was huge!
People talked before the workout.
They laughed mid-set and hung out after.
They encouraged strangers by name by the end.
This wasn’t about who was the strongest or fastest. It was about removing isolation, which is the real silent killer of consistency.
When people train together, effort goes up — but so does belonging.
45 Minutes. Zero Equipment. Full Effort.
The session itself was a bodyweight bootcamp — accessible, scalable, and deceptively tough.
We moved through:
- Dynamic warm-ups that actually prepped joints
- Strength circuits using nothing but your own body
- Conditioning intervals that challenged lungs, not egos
- A finish that left everyone sweaty and smiling
No one got left behind. Modifications were built in. Intensity was self-selected.
That’s the FITTWAVE philosophy:
Meet people where they are — then help them move forward.
